Welcome to our faculty! Dawson Music Academy instructors serve an important role as they share the joy of music with students each week. As you communicate with your students about upcoming lessons, please refer to the resources below.

Parent/Student Communications

As new students are added to your teaching schedule, you will connect directly with the parents of the students to confirm the details of the first lesson. You will coordinate the specific lesson schedule (lesson day and time), the location of the lesson, and what materials to bring to the first lesson. Lesson Location

Once your teaching schedule is confirmed, you will be assigned a teaching room on Dawson’s campus to be used for weekly lessons. You are responsible for telling students where to meet for weekly lessons. Since many of our Academy students are not familiar with Dawson’s campus, it’s helpful to provide a campus map. Lesson Materials

Our Academy Resource Closet contains notebooks, binders, and folders that can be used for weekly student lesson notes. If there are additional supplies needed for weekly lessons, please share those details with parents. Since specific lesson method books will vary by student, you will communicate directly with the parents to confirm the details for purchasing books. For purchasing suggestions, please click here.
