2026 Instructor Forms / Recital Day
Spring Recital Day is a wonderful day of celebrating students and their musical progress. Thank you for prioritizing the below deadlines to ensure a positive recital experience for each Dawson Music Academy student.

Recital Forms
Jan 30 / RECITAL REQUEST FORM Due: Instructors submit preferred recital time & location
Feb 2 / RECITAL PROGRAM LISTS Open: Instructors begin submitting information for confirmed recital participants, including each student’s recital song title & composer, listed in performance order
Feb 27 / Instructors receive assigned recital time & location
Mar 11 / RECITAL PROGRAM LISTS Close: Instructors submit final information for confirmed recital participants, including each student’s recital song title & composer, listed in performance order
April 1 / Program FINAL Edits Due: Review proof of recital program & submit final edits to Shannon Mooney
April 20 / Instructors distribute “Recital Invitation Cards” to students during weekly lessons
April 26 / Spring Recital Day
Recital Accompanist Deadlines*
*Optional: Only for instructors interested in coordinating a recital accompanist for students
Feb 11 / Student List Due for Recital Accompanist: Instructors submit name of students needing an accompanist. DMA will follow up with students to confirm $10 accompanist fee.
Mar 4 / Accompanist Music Due: Instructors submit accompanist music to Bonnie Davidson. Label each piece with STUDENT NAME & INSTRUCTOR NAME. Be sure copy is legible with no music cut off from top/bottom/sides.
April 6 / Instructors & students receive assigned accompanist rehearsal time & location.
April 19 / Accompanist Rehearsals: Students rehearse with accompanist during assigned individual rehearsal time. Attendance at rehearsal is required for students performing with a DMA accompanist on Recital Day. Instructors are expected to attend accompanist rehearsals with students.
